Pauline Zipser Damn Moeror (what an introduction) unlades right off the bat. Getting some seriously pissed off Kannustaa whiffs wafting off them. Then the criminally underrated Human Serpent launches a rapid fire barrage at the head and neck area. Super disorienting. Finally, Kvadrat - hot off their own eye gouging EP - dismantles the remaining foundation. Any bricks, boards, and dry wall are promptly shuttled to the nearest trash heap. All funds gathered through this split release are donated to help
and support animals that were affected in the recent Greek wildfires.
The consequences of which are going to heavily affect the hurt areas
for the years to come. We witnessed the death of an ecosystem
and we are facing a new reality that needs every bit of our help.
Our goal is to gather funds that will cover the cost of medical care, food and the financial support for the early costs of an adoption.

Bloody hell the vocals here are absolutely majestic; supremely dynamic with loads of variance in style while maintaining a visceral brutality. The atmospheric elements are gracefully and artfully intertwined but make no mistake, this is ruthless black metal first and foremost. Ἡ εἰκών was an impressive debut, but way too short! Luckily, Ψευδομένη arrives to satisfy the urge for more of what made its precedessor hit hard and fast: some atmospheric moments (don't be deterred as this is still brutal, dissonant and disgusting to the core) and at the same time, J.L. is exploring longer tracks - e.g. my personal favourite - and implementing some cavernous lows. If there's one thing we can all agree on, it's most likely that this man refuses to stand still. What a pace! David Fischer
